Consignment Process
Are you thinking about selling your boat? If so please read below and contact a salesperson at Rock Outdoors to start the process!
Rock Outdoors LLC will act as my agent for the sale of my boat. Rock Outdoors LLC will provide potential buyers with detailed information about my boat, financing sources and extended warranties {if applicable}. I will be contacted with any reasonable offer and have the option of accepting, refusing, or countering the offer. After 60 days of being on the market, price will need to be adjusted down or boat picked up.
FEES: A fee of 10%, with a $2000 minimum will be collected by Rock Outdoors LLC at the time of sale. I agree to have my unit inspected and cleaned by Rock Outdoors LLC prior to listing the boat. There will be a charge of $250 for inspection & $250 cleaning, plus tax, due when dropping off the boat. Any defects will be communicated to owner, and you will need to decide to make the necessary repairs or to be communicated to the purchaser at the time of sale. The owner will be responsible for any repairs needed to make the unit marketable. If you choose to not consign, then the cleaning will be refunded back. Boats not sold after 3 months, $75/month for storage will be charged.
Rock Outdoors LLC, will be provided with the titles and/ or current registrations for the boat, motor, and trailer at the time the boat is dropped off. If there is a lien on the items listed above, Rock Outdoors LLC will pay off the lien with the proceeds from the sale. The seller/current owner will be responsible for the difference if any. Titles will be mailed directly to Rock Outdoors LLC when the lien is paid. Sellers portion of the proceeds will be mailed to address on file after the funds and the titles are received.
Insurance will remain on the items listed above until it is sold. While boat is on-site, Rock Outdoors LLC will not be responsible for any damages or property loss due to theft. The boat will be kept inside a fenced area. If a cover is not provided, the boat will not be kept covered.
