MARINE TECHNICIAN:
Primary duties include:
  • Maintenance and service on Yamaha, Mercury and Evinrude outboard motors, and knowledge of factory certification requirements
  • Prepare and customize new boats including installations on depth finders, trolling motors, power poles, etc.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on marine machinery and components; ensure all warranty work is completed to manufacturer guidelines
  • Examine boats; diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems; discuss nature and extend of damage or malfunction with service manager and/or customer
  • Consistently demonstrate attention to quality and a customer service mindset
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Mercury, Yamaha and Evinrude outboard motors; certification(s) strongly desired
  • Ability to take and pass required certification tests if not already certified
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to be productive and work efficiently in a team environment
 
MARINE RIGGER/INSTALLER:
Primary duties include:
  • Assist technicians in preparation and customization of new boats including cleaning and installation of equipment such as depth finders and trolling motors
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine tasks on marine machinery and components
  • Keep boats in inventory clean, both inside and outside the showroom
  • Maximize technician efficiency by acting as an assistant for any job-related tasks including moving boats and tools
  • Assist technician with winterization and storage tasks including shrink wrapping
  • Consistently demonstrate attention to quality and a customer service mindset
Qualifications:
  • Experience in marine rigging with interest in progressing into a technician role strongly desired; students and recent grads in related automotive or marine fields welcome to apply
  • Proficient in using tools (air, power, hand) to assemble and install parts
  • Ability to climb, bend, lift, crawl and stretch in order to complete installations and cleaning tasks
  • Forklift certification a strong plus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be productive and work efficiently in a team environment

 

OUTDOOR RETAIL ASSOCIATES:
We are seeking retail associates with a passion for the outdoor industry—if you love to camp, hike, kayak, fish and enjoy the lake life, this may be the gig for you!!  The ideal candidate will be proactive with a desire to learn a new a customer base and become a leading resource for all things outdoor in our area!
 
Primary duties include:
  • Greet and assist customers with a genuine smile and positive attitude
  • Develop relationships through consistent excellent customer service
  • Learn product lines, understand key features to make accurate suggestions to customers
  • Assist with visual presentation of merchandise
  • Be aware of surroundings and monitor customers; escalate any instances of potential theft
 
Qualifications:
  • Outdoor enthusiasts strongly preferred!
  • Prior retail experience required; cash handling experience a plus
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
